Asbestos Survey

Our Cornwall Branch recently conducted an asbestos management survey on all areas of the Newquay Golf Club site, ensuring that our client was fully compliant with Regulation 4 of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012. The survey was conducted over several days, covering all areas of the original property, as well as extensions and outbuildings on the site.

Newquay Golf Club is a picturesque course designed by Harry Colt, covering 18 holes and overlooking the world famous Fistral Beach. The elegant club house includes the listed Chapel Bar, which is home to old pictures and historic golf memorabilia.

Previously, The Club House was a mansion called The Tower, and was built for the Molesworth family in 1835. This included a castellated tower and a private chapel, which now the Chapel Bar. The home was often rented to wealthy families when the Molesworth family were in their inland home. The Tower was eventually sold to the Treffry estate in 1906, where the Golf Club purchased the property freehold.

This survey was undertaken by our surveyor Jack McGhee, and overseen by our Cornwall and Devon Branch Manager, Dave Chudleigh.
