Asbestos Survey

Casa Environmental Services were instructed to undertake a Refurbishment Survey to The Old Soap Works, Broad Plain, Bristol.

This large historic building was constructed in 1865 in the Bristol Byzantine style. It was originally occupied by Christopher Thomas and Brothers Soap Works and later by Lever Brothers. The brick building consists of  5 storeys and was at one time the largest soap works in the United Kingdom.

During the survey, the two-man surveying team discovered Asbestos Containing Materials at a level that would be expected of a building of this nature and age. Our work was an important part of the due diligence study undertaken in order to create an informed sales process, and the client was very impressed with the service provided in a tight time frame.

The report will now facilitate the removal process prior to conversion of the building from a retail outlet into any number of different uses.
