Avon & Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust

Our Bristol branch was contracted to carry out Asbestos Management surveys for Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust. Our team of highly trained experts inspected 25 sites in total taking approximately 110 days to align with ward access requirements.  One of the larger sites included Fountain Way Hospital, Salisbury, which replaced the Old Manor Hospital. The name of the hospital derives from a grade II listed fountain that stands in the entrance of the old hospital site.

Additionally, our surveyors attended Green Lane Hospital, which opened in 1990 in the grounds of Roundway Hospital which subsequently closed in 1995.

Due to the sensitive nature of this job, our surveyors had to attend conscientiously due to the presence of potentially vulnerable patients. Our surveyors were accompanied with an escort where possible or worked in pairs. Standard precautions were taken on site, including asking occupants to vacate areas during sampling, so that all sampling could be undertaken safely.
