Asbestos Management Survey

Our Southampton Branch has recently conducted an asbestos management survey on Electric Brixton’s music venue, to detect the presence of asbestos containing materials within the building.

Electric Brixton first opened in 2011, having been previously known as The Fridge. The site is comprised of a large stage that is host to a range of art events, television recordings, live music, and large-scale club events. Across the two storeys, the venue has the capacity for 1,500 live shows, making it a thriving location for social events at the heart of South London.

Casa has conducted a previous survey for Electric Brixton on one of their Bristol nightclubs, and visited their site in London to ensure they were compliant with asbestos regulations, as they had no previous survey on register.

A total of 15 samples were gathered during the entirety of the survey from all areas of the building, from the loft to the ground floor. This is a thriving music location, highlighting the importance of ensuring that a venue as popular as this remains safe.

Our surveyor Jamie conducted this management survey within the required timescales and to the complete satisfaction of the client. Casa is happy to have assisted Electric Brixton in their compliance with asbestos regulations, and the rich history of this venue offered an interesting survey for Casa to conduct!
