Nightingale hospitals

Casa Environmental Services (CES) are very proud to have recently been contracted to undertake refurbishment asbestos surveys to three Nightingale hospitals in the South West (Bristol, Exeter & Plymouth).

The NHS Nightingale Hospitals have been constructed as part of a wider government initiative to create a number of temporary critical care hospitals in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

The hospitals are named after Florence Nightingale, who came to prominence for nursing soldiers during the Crimean War and is regarded as the founder of modern nursing. England’s chief nursing officer, Ruth May, said it was “absolutely fitting” that the hospitals have been named after Florence Nightingale.

CES responded urgently to the enquiries and worked around the clock to meet the requirements of our valued clients to ensure they could meet their objectives as quickly as possible. Casa’s operatives attended the sites within 24 hours of instruction and 24 hours later provided the client with the comprehensive survey documents they required to facilitate the work being undertaken.

With a second lockdown in sight, Casa will remain open to service the needs of our customers. CES will continue to abide by the governments strict guidelines regarding COVID-19 and our own internal safe systems of work to ensure our staff, clients and other stakeholders remain safe at all times.
