Cherry Tree Pub – Asbestos Survey

Following a survey undertaken by Casa in July 2017, extensive damage and debris was discovered both internally and externally at the Cherry Tree Pub in Oldland Common Bristol.

It subsequently transpired that the builder had proceeded with the refurbishment works prior to the survey being undertaken and had extensively disturbed asbestos containing materials.

An investigation was undertaken by the Health and Safety Executive which resulted in the building company being prosecuted and fined for breaches of Section 5, 8 and 16 of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012.
