CPD Training to the University of Plymouth Students

Earlier this year Casa Environmental Services became accredited by UKATA and CPD for Asbestos Awareness Training.

Following the receipt of our accreditation, and the recent opening of our office in the Devon & Cornwall area, we reached out to organisations in the region offering awareness training.

The University of Plymouth expressed an interest in Casa presenting a CPD course to students studying construction related courses. The training would be extremely useful and relevant to those students subsequently intending to work in the construction industry following their graduation.

Property Development and Refurbishment lecturer, Adorkor, expressed an interest for the 2nd year Building, Construction and Architectural students as it complemented well their module for the forthcoming term.

Following a meeting with Adorkor we were delighted to attend the University to present the CPD course to the students and provide them with an introduction to asbestos.

Casa tutor and Training Manager Lee Hardy carried out the training to over 25 students, all of whom were fully engaged and asked many questions throughout the presentation.

Following the course the students provided great feedback, some of which is mentioned below :

“One of the best presentations this year. Thank you.”

“Clear, concise & informative.”

“Was really informative.”

We are delighted to have been asked to return to the University next year to present the CPD course to new students embarking on the same career.
