Legionella Risk Assessment

In September, Casa was awarded a contract to undertake Water Hygiene and Legionella works for one of the most prestigious brewing establishments in the South West, St Austell Brewery. Our Water Hygiene Department has been attending the various pubs and breweries, assisting with their compliance to adhere to the ACoP L8.

Recently, our Head of Water Hygiene Lee & Legionella Risk Assessor Tom, attended The Wellington in Boscastle.

Based in North Cornwall, this 16th Century listed property is comprised of 14 bedrooms, 3 aparthotel suites, and pub bar and restaurant, and has been renowned for being Novelist Thomas Hardy’s favourite place to stay.

Both Tom and Lee worked together to conduct Legionella Risk Assessments to each individual building within the site, assessing plant, pipework and outlets throughout to make recommendations on effective measures to keep the domestic water system safe and compliant.

Our works undertaken at The Wellington, are part of a larger set of refurbishment works to enhance the experience of guests and visitors. They’re expecting their doors to open again in Spring 2025.

Casa is delighted to be working alongside St Austell Brewery, and we look forward to continuing to complete our work and attending their other sites with as much intrigue as The Wellington.
