Casa Environmental Services were recently appointed by Emery Brothers Ltd to undertake a refurbishment survey to Fitzroy House in Baths Great Pulteney Street.
The five storey 17th Century building consists of five former townhouses that have been converted into sheltered accommodation.
A Refurbishment Survey was required as a first step prior to major redevelopment and upgrading of the property. The survey proved to be challenging as the building is extremely complex however a thorough but sympathetic survey was undertaken to the Grade 1 Listed Building during which over 350 incidences of asbestos were discovered ranging from cement based materials to asbestos insulation.
