High Rise Housing Blocks

Client:

Bristol City Council

Location:

Bristol

Service:

Asbestos Framework

Casa Environmental Services (CES) have been successfully carrying out its social housing contract with Bristol City Council for over 18 months.

The contract which involves undertaking asbestos management, refurbishment and re-inspection surveys to the Council’s 28500 homes has been challenging however the contract team that includes a Contract Manager, Coordinators, Surveyors and Analysts have pulled together and worked hard to ensure that the client’s expectations have not only been met but also often exceeded.  Over the past 18 months the contract team have adhered to the strict key performance indicators (KPI’s) and on average have achieved a compliance score of over 96% every month.

Due to the success of the main contract other departments within the Council have been interested in working with Casa and as a result the contract team were recently instructed to survey the communal areas of the Council’s high rise housing blocks.

The council required the asbestos management surveys to maintain its obligation to comply with the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012. The CES team undertook surveys to over 60 housing blocks ranging from 6 stories high up to 17 stories high.  Despite the challenges of working in the occupied blocks the site team executed the work safely whilst adhering to the project time frames required and completed the work to the satisfaction of the client.
