BAM Awareness Training ‘’Roadshow’’

Casa Environmental Services’ Training Department have recently undertaken Asbestos Awareness Training courses for BAM Construction.

As a licensed provider of UKATA Asbestos Awareness Training, we take great pride in ensuring that the industry are up to standard when it comes to individuals who may come into contact with asbestos. It is a legal requirement that all who may come into contact with asbestos at work, have been provided with the appropriate asbestos awareness training.

The purpose of asbestos awareness training is to inform anyone who may potentially in the course of their work come into contact with asbestos containing materials. It provides information on how to avoid direct contact with asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) and what to do if any asbestos is accidentally disturbed during any normal work.

The training courses took place in BAM’s Bristol offices over 2 sessions. Training Manager Lee Hardy said, “The courses were very well received by participants based on feedback comments – we are hoping to extend the sessions to other regions in the future”.

In addition to the course, each candidate is issued with asbestos awareness certificates and a Casa bespoke booklet advising the correct steps and precautionary measures to take if asbestos is discovered on site or if someone is expected to have been exposed.
