Raising Awareness around Mesothelioma

This week, we’re getting ready for Action Mesothelioma Day, which takes place on Friday 5th of July – dedicated to raising awareness of the risk of asbestos exposure, and Mesothelioma. Action Mesothelioma Day calls for the hope that through efforts to raise awareness and raise funds, the number of those who will have eventually lower this number to zero.

This year, Mesothelioma UK are continuing their campaign of ‘light up blue’, to shed light on the statistics and harsh realities of asbestos exposure and mesothelioma.

In honour of Action Mesothelioma Day, Mesothelioma UK have created a tribute wall for people to post messages, thoughts and photos of and for loved ones, which you can see here.

Casa recently had the honour of listening to an enlightening and heartfelt speech by Mairead Dixon, a senior nurse for Mesothelioma UK, on ‘Advancing Mesothelioma Care: Latest Research and Future Directions’ at the UKATA conference in Derby.

Casa sends their thoughts to all those who have been affected by Mesothelioma and asbestos exposure, as well as their loved ones. We are in constant awe of the wonderful people and nurses at Mesothelioma UK for all their incredible, life-changing work, and we endeavor to continue our work in ensuring no one is at risk of asbestos exposure by managing asbestos safely.

On Friday, we will be going blue for Mesothelioma – and encourage you to do the same to raise awareness, by using the hashtags #goblueformeso

If you want to donate to this life-changing charity, you can do so here.
