Action Mesothelioma Day 2025

Before July comes to a close, we want to acknowledge Action Mesothelioma Day, that took place on 4th July 2025.

What is Action Mesothelioma Day?

Each year, the first Friday of July marks Action Mesothelioma Day. This is a national campaign by charity Mesothelioma UK, dedicating to raising awareness of the aggressive cancer caused by asbestos exposure. On this day, we are encouraged to ‘Go Blue for Meso’, to show solidarity for those whose lives are affected by Mesothelioma, and the lifechanging efforts of Mesothelioma UK.

Why It Matters

Many people think asbestos is a thing of the past, but sadly, the risks are still very real. Although asbestos was banned in the UK over 20 years ago, countless buildings—homes, schools, offices—still contain asbestos materials. Every year, around 2000 people lose their lives to mesothelioma, often decades after they were first exposed.

Raising awareness means helping more people understand where asbestos can still be found and why proper management is so important. It’s about saving lives—now and in the future.

How We’re Involved

At Casa, we work with organisations of all shapes and sizes to help manage asbestos safely. Whether it’s carrying out surveys, air monitoring, or providing awareness training on what to look out for, we’re proud to play our part in keeping people safe.

For us, Action Mesothelioma Day is more than just a date on the calendar—it’s a reminder of why we do what we do.
